The Blackmagic 2110 IP Mini IP to HDMI allows for monitoring of 2110 IP video and audio on any HDMI monitor or TV. It is compact in design and can be placed behind displays, connecting and powering through 10G Ethernet. It supports HD and Ultra HD standards up to 2160p60 and comes with a DC power supply. Blackmagic Design offers a range of SMPTE-2110 IP video products, including converters, video and audio monitors, and cameras. These products support Ultra HD using low-cost 10G Ethernet and most models are bidirectional, making them useful for cameras that require an extra program return. The rack mount models have a sleek design with a color LCD for monitoring, menus, and diagnostics. All models conform to the SMPTE ST-2110 standard for IP video and support PTP clocks and NMOS connections. The Blackmagic 2110 IP Converter 3x3G model even includes a reference video output timed to the 2110 PTP clock.
The Blackmagic 2110 IP Converters are designed to integrate SDI equipment into 2110 IP broadcast systems and can be easily installed in equipment racks next to the equipment being converted. However, with Blackmagic Studio Cameras, Blackmagic Audio Monitor 12G G3, and SmartView 4K G3, most of the SMPTE-2110 system can be built without converters. These products also support remote power, but adding converters provides a cost-effective way to transform all video equipment to SMPTE-2110. The Blackmagic 2110 IP products conform to the SMPTE ST-2110 standard and support uncompressed video, traffic shaping/timing, audio, and ancillary data. They also support multicast, which is an efficient way to distribute video, audio, and data to multiple destinations. The converters are available in models with RJ-45 connectors for simple Cat6 copper cables or SFP sockets for optical fiber modules and cables. They can be easily installed and connected point-to-point with Ethernet cables, making them ideal for live events. For larger systems, an Ethernet switch can be used to connect all video gear and make connections between devices through configuration.
